Welcome to the XXVIII FESSH & EFSHT Meeting. The event will take place in the "spaceship" venue Palacongressi of Rimini (Italy) from May 10th to 13th 2023. This is the third time that the FESSH Meeting has landed in Italy: Bologna and Milan have been done 1997 and 2015.
I strongly invite you to actively participate in the scientific program that has been themed "From Basic to Controversy" by the Scientific Committee of the FESSH Congress. This Joint Congress will see surgeons and therapists to join their efforts and experiences from all over the world and discuss some hot topics such as fractures and malunions of the distal radius, longitudinal instability of the forearm, flexor and extensor tendons pathologies, microsurgery, congenital and pediatric hand pathologies, failures, incorrect management of hand injuries and, finally, a very stimulating discussion and comparison of experience between expert on wrist surgery and radiologists. Three editors (Heras-Palou C, Corella F, Luchetti R) developed a legendary Instructional Book entitled "Carpal Ligament Injuries and Instability" (Thieme publisher). Fourteen expert authors have been invited to cover all the arguments on the evaluation and both open and arthroscopic management of all the instabilities of the wrist.
Those are only a minimal selection of topics we will aim to treat in this FESSH Meeting. I also aim to allow as many hand surgeons as possible to present their scientific experience through the several free paper sessions planned. Hand surgeon experts are also invited to treat various controversial topics through special planned sessions or invited lectures.
Please send us your abstracts to the FESSH secretary allowing to elevate the level of excellence of this European Meeting. Special and local social events are being planned in connection with the experienced team of professional local organizers. Furthermore, the particular location has the advantage to discover the historical background of Roman Empire allowing the participants to move between the new solutions and cultural insights with history.

It is with great pleasure and privilege for the Italian Hand Therapy Association (AIRM) to invite colleagues not only from all over Europe but from around the World to come to Rimini for the next Triennial Congress of FESSH and EFSHT. The event will take place at the beautiful and modern IEG Expo - Palacongressi from May 10th to 13th 2023! SAVE THE DATE!!! This will be an occasion to unite force and strengthen cooperation between surgeons and therapists as well as sharing knowledge and experience from different countries.
I would like to personally invite you to participate in the stimulating and thought-provoking scientific program that has been themed "From Basic to Controversy" by the FESSH Congress Chair Dr. Riccardo Luchetti. This Joint Congress will allow therapists and surgeons to connect from all over the world and discuss on hot topics such as flexor tendons, wrist disorders and updates on anatomy and biomechanics. It will also be an occasion to plan future research.
We aim to encourage as many hand therapists as possible to present their scientific and clinical experience through the free paper sessions. Similarly, we are gathering a variety of experts to discuss different topics in hand rehabilitation and to lead practical workshops. We have invited a guest speaker who has made an outstanding contribution in the field of hand therapy and who will hopefully inspire many to achieve greatness in this discipline. I am honored to have Pat McKee from Canada give us keynote lectures throughout the Congress!!
Finally, surgical instructional courses will be offered free of charge to hand therapists registered to the congress. Jump on this occasion to send us your abstracts and share your experience with everyone present in this event.
The Palacongressi's maximum capacity is roughly 7,000 people and its amphitheater and large rooms will allow professionals to meet face to face in a safe manner after 2 years of long distance education. Social events are being planned as we speak by a dynamic and experienced team of professional local organizers to allow friends to catch up on what has happened in our lives during these difficult times.
The Scientific Committee and I hope to see many familiar faces but also new ones to network all together for the future of our profession!

All payments should be made in EUR.
The online registration platform is a secure site. Payment by credit card is highly recommended as the registration can be confirmed immediately. Major credit cards (American Express, VISA and MasterCard) are accepted. Please enter all relevant information on the registration form. Upon completion of the online registration process, you will receive an invoice / receipt by email.
All payments should be made in EUR and sent to Congressworks Llp to below bank account. Payments should be made free of all bank charges and commissions.
Payments by bank transfer were accepted till 1 May 2023.
A taxable invoice/receipt will be issued on all incoming payments. Invoices will be prepared for the customer name indicated on the registration form. Please note that the Registration Secretariat is not able to modify the customer name on issued invoices so please take care of the right billing address when you fill in the registration form.
Full cancellation of your participation must be emailed to the Registration Secretariat at registration@fessh2023.com.
The following cancellation fees will apply:

- Cancellations received before or on 10 April 2023: 80% of the fee will be refunded.
- Cancellations received after 10 April 2023: no refund is available.
FESSH Party
The price of the purchased tickets cannot be refunded, tickets can however be transferred to another participant.
All delegates requiring a letter of invitation for visa application purposes may request this letter in email from the Registration Secretariat. We will not be able to issue any letter of invitation without receiving the registration and the payment of the required registration fees. Please note that the organizers will not be able to contact or intervene with any Embassy or Consulate office on behalf of a delegate.
Should your visa application be declined, you can send a request for a refund of the registration fees to Registration Secretariat by e-mail (registration@fessh2023.com) before 10 April. A scanned copy of the visa decline letter should be attached to your request. For requests received after 10 April no refund is possible.
A handling fee of 30 EUR will be applied for such refunds and all payment charges will be at your expense.

Rimini's Federico Fellini International Airport is located 5.2 kilometres southeast of Rimini. The airport offers seasonal connections with many European cities.
Bologna's International "Guglielmo Marconi" airport is approximately 100 km away from Rimini by motorway and can be reached in an hour, also with shuttle buses or private vehicles. It guarantees daily links with major Italian, European and international cities, served by the main international airlines.

Thanks to the motorway network, Rimini is well connected with the rest of Italy and Europe. It lies on the A14 Milano-Bari motorway, and is served by two exits: Rimini Nord and Rimini Sud. With the A14, from Rimini it is easy to reach the A4 to Venice and the A22 to the Brenner pass. Florence, Rome and Naples are equally accessible with the A1 motorway.
